James Daniel Holt, age 60, of Bluff City, Tennessee went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 30, 2021 at the Bristol Regional Medical Center.

James was born in Carter County, Tennessee to the late Mable Dobbins Holt and J.B. Holt of Bristol, Tennessee. In addition to his mother, James was also preceded in death by a brother, J.B. "Little J." Holt, Jr.

James retired from Tri Cities Industrial Builders where he had worked for over 25 years then he quit work and went into construction work for himself. He was a member of Mount Moriah Pentecostal Church in Bristol and used to enjoy racing cars at Thunder Valley in his younger years.

Those left to cherish James' memory in addition to his father and step-mother, J.B. and Helen Holt, include his loving wife of 45 years, Kathy Loudermilk Holt, of the home; two children, Stephanie and husband Tony of Church Hill and Jason of the home; two grandchildren, CJ Widener and wife Caitlin of Richlands, VA and Jacob Widener of Fayetteville, NC; three great grandchildren, Ckyanne, Camberlynn and Paisley all of Richlands, VA; two sisters, Penny Gibson of Bluff City, TN and Melissa Hickman (Gale) of Blountville; one brother, Harvey Holt and wife Maria of Piney Flats; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews also survive.

A graveside service to celebrate the life of James Daniel Holt will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 4, 2021 in the Sunrise Cemetery in Bluff City, Tennessee with Pastor Shannon Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the cemetery prior to the service on Saturday. Honorary pallbearers will be Zachary Hickman, Corey Hickman, Josh Gibson, CJ Widener and Jacob Widener.

Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to Mount Moriah Pentecostal Church, 1571 Valley Drive, Bristol, Tennessee 37620 in memory of James.
