Sue Parker, 85, beloved Mother, Sister, and Grandmother, was called home to be with her lord on August 30, 2021. She entered this world on July 9, 1936 in Eton, GA, born to John and Edith Riggins. Sue worked as a makeup artist for Este Lauder for over 20 years and was a Stewardess for Delta Airline in the late '50's and early '60's. She loved the Lord and her church family at Eastminster Presbyterian Church in Marietta, GA. Sue loved to travel with her friends and visited many wonderful places and enjoyed many cruises as well. She lived her entire life in Georgia and had many friends here and afar, many she had not really spoken to in a while due to her unfortunate diagnosis of Alzheimer's Disease. Her daughter got the wonderful, although heartbreaking, pleasure of moving in and caring for her for the last four years of her life. Sue passed due to complications of Alzheimer's, but did not forget any of her friends or family.

Sue is preceded in death by her parents, John and Edith Riggins, and her beloved brother, Jimmy Riggins. She is survived by her son, Judd Parker; daughter, Heather Dalka; grandchildren, Britney Phippen, Ryan Dalka, Caymin Crosslin, Aliajh Lawson, Noelle Hendrickson, Alma Isenberg, and Becky Isenberg; great-granddaughter, Casper Crosslin; and nephews, Tarve Riggins and family, Jay Riggins and wife, Mark Hudgins, and Greg Hudgins.

Mrs. Parker was cremated and a memorial service in her honor will be held Monday, November 22, 2021 at Eastminster Presbyterian Church, 3125 Sewell Mill Road, Marietta, GA 30062, at 4:00pm. A reception will immediately follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a non-profit organization that made an enormous impact on Sue's life in her later years, Aloha to Aging, Inc. Aloha gave Sue an amazing opportunity to enjoy a social environment twice a week, especially designed for people suffering from the effects of Dementia. We truly believe this gave Sue the desire to keep living with her diagnosis. We are forever grateful to the volunteers and people who make this program available and were so wonderful to Sue. Information about the organization may be found online at www.alohatoaging.org. Donations in Sue's honor may be made at https://alohatoaging.org/ways-of-giving/donations/. Checks may be mailed to: Aloha to Aging, Inc., 1612 Morningside Trace, Marietta, GA 30062.
