Linda Rose Strong, 73, of Baldwin City, KS, passed Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Lawrence, KS.

Linda was born in Lawrence, Kansas, December 21, 1947, the daughter of Otis Blevins and Faye (Kehr) Blevins. She graduated from Lawrence High School with the class of 1965.

On November 25, 1967, Linda was united in marriage to Marvin L. Strong at the First Church of the Nazarene, Lawrence, KS. They shared over fifty-three years of marriage together.

Linda was a homemaker and worked on their farm in rural Baldwin City while the two raised their children. Together with Marvin and the kids they ran a dairy farm and worked the farm ground. Linda later worked in the food service industry, with 8 years at Baker University and then Dillon's Bakery for almost 20 years before retiring in 2005.

Linda was known for her kind smile and generous laugh. She was strong in her faith and love for family. She was an avid reader, and was always crafting whether it was crocheting, jewelry, art classes, or ceramics. Her imagination was large, and one could always find the grandchildren gathered round her in anticipation for one of Grandma's "stories".

Linda is survived by her husband, Marvin Strong, of the home; four children, Tauna Johnson and her husband, Heath, Ryan Strong and his wife, Kelly, Toni Whaley and her husband, Jeff, Jonathan Strong and his wife, Abby, all of Baldwin City, KS; two brothers, Mike Blevins and his wife, Jo, David Blevins and his wife, Sheryl, both of Lawrence, KS; and twelve grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by five siblings, Monty Bruce Blevins, Sandra Schoenthaler, Sheila Park, Betty Estes, and Danny Blevins.
