Michael John Howard McGregor was born on September 18th, 1963 in Oklahoma City, OK, the son of Guy and Virginia Sue (Mahaney) McGregor, and raised by his stepfather, Delmar Dale Nichols. He was raised with three brothers and five sisters, Dayna, Terry, Greg, Jana, Cary, Gary, Susan and Katrina. He attended Moore High School, then decided to move to the northeastern Oklahoma area, and he stayed here the rest of his life. He earned his living as a post frame building builder for B&D Builders. When he wasn't working, he was on his motorcycle, riding or getting ready to ride. He was a home body unless his friends needed him to keep them in line. He loved to listen to music, make his oldies but goodies rock and old country. Movies were enjoyed in the evening, and he loved to fill his co workers in on the latest plots. When he was younger, he shared his house with two chows, one white named JR and a black one named Bear, he loved them. He had a great sense of humor and loved to see people laugh, and could demonstrate a stubborn streak along with a little attitude. He was the father of a son, Lance Michael and also helped to raise two boys named Ore and Steven. A Christian by faith, Mike passed from this life on August 27th, 2021 in Tulsa, OK. He was 57 years old.

He is preceded in death by grandparents, Howard and Ruby McGregor and John and Carrie Mahaney, and his mother and father.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Lance McGregor and family of Welling, OK. He also leaves two step sons, Ore Patrick and Steven Boydston both of Tahlequah. He leaves his brothers and sisters, Dayna Hefley of Coalgate, Terry Dale Nichols and wife Theresa of Ada, OK, Greg McGregor of Tahlequah, Jana Philpott and husband JR of Tahlequah, Cary and husband Mike Weir of Bunch, OK, Gary McGregor of Tahlequah, Katrina McGregor-Saucedo and husband Willie of Oklahoma City, OK, and Susan Greenhaw and husband Joe of Tahlequah, OK.
