Eddie D. Reel, age 71, of Bucyrus, Ohio, passed away at 7:18 PM on Sunday, August 29, 2021, at the Avita Health System of Bucyrus, Ohio.

Eddie was born in Nevada, Ohio, on September 29, 1949, to Jonathan and Ellen (Sunderland) Reel, and they preceded him in death. Eddie was married to Sandy Steinhelfer and she survives in Bucyrus.

Eddie is also survived by two sons: Jonathon Jessie Reel and Charles Allan Reel both of Bucyrus, along with brothers, Jonathan Jr. of Upper Sandusky, Richard of Upper Sandusky, Jacob "Jake" of Upper Sandusky, and two sisters: Elizabeth "Fern" Parker of Upper Sandusky, and Vicki Reel of Upper Sandusky.

Eddie was preceded in death by his sister Sharon Karg, and brothers Charles Ault, and Raymond "Bud" Ault.

Eddie served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and received 2 Purple Hearts, and 2 Silver Stars for Valor.

For hobbies, Eddie enjoyed going fishing, playing videogames and spending time with his family.

A graveside service for Eddie Dean Reel will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at Nevada Cemetery and will be officiated by Pastor Jake Reel. Military graveside rites will be conducted by Upper Sandusky Color Guard.
