VERDA MAE KENNEDY, 87, died February 5, 1985. Member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Survivors: Daughters and son-in-law, Maxine Marion, Laverne and George Bassett, sisters, Hazel Grymes and Opal Thompson; six grandchildren, four great-grandsons and numerous nieces and nephews, and host of friends. Funeral: 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 6, 1985 at Emmanuel Baptist Church (809 Northwood) Interment, Brookside Cemetery.
