Jeffrey Wayne Martin, 63, of Newburgh, passed away Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Deaconess Hospital Gateway Campus.
Jeff was born September 14, 1957 in Evansville to the late Harold Karl Martin and Betty Joyce (Whitmer) Martin. He worked as a jeweler for Brinker's Jewelers for over 45 years. Jeff was very involved in his Catholic faith and a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, where he was active in religious education. Jeff enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, camping and he especially enjoyed napping.
Surviving Jeff are his wife of 39 years, Mary Martin; children, Andrew (Jessica) Martin, Amy (Joshua Canright) Martin and Caleb Martin; his mother, Joyce Martin; grandchildren, Elijah and Annalyse Jackson, Ruth, Eleanor, John and Naomi Martin; sisters, Brenda Martin and Paula Knight and his mother-in-law, Ruth Gorman. Also surviving is his best friend who he was closer to than any two brothers on earth, Bryan Turley.
In addition to his father, Jeff was preceded in death by his father-in-law, William Gorman, Jr.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Corpus Christi Church, Rev. Tyler Tenbarge officiating. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 until 8:00 PM on Tuesday at Pierre Funeral
