Rick D. Allen of Huntington Beach, CA passed away on Sunday, May 23, 2021 in Grand Junction, Colorado. With his family by his side, Rick passed peacefully after a brief illness.

Rick was born on May 30, 1957 in Lubbock, Texas to Grady and Beverly Allen.

Surviving are his wife of 30 years, Tina, beloved daughter Alexandra and fiancée Evan Smail, parents Beverly and Grady Allen, brother Dale, (Debbie), sister Teresa Weber, (Bill), nephews Casey, Dylan and Grady (Leslie), great nephew, Quinn, nephew Kyle Hutton, and niece, Holli Hutton-Rehl (Anna).

Rick attended Shawnee Mission South in Overland Park, Kansas, then went on to attend Kansas University. He was an avid KU basketball fan, Laker fan and a Bronco fan. He loved attending Lakers games with his daughter during the Kobe era.

Rick had many friends in Kansas, California and Colorado and will be greatly missed by all. He was a loyal friend to all that knew him.

Rick wished to spend eternity in the Colorado Mountains, so his remains were spread in Ouray.
