Larry H. Simmons Jr. at the age of 58, entered into eternal rest on June 26, 2021, at his home in Terrytown, LA surrounded by some of his love ones. A native of Marrero, lived in New Orleans for many years.
Simmons was born on November 8th, 1964 to Catherin Mitchell Blazio and Larry H. Simmons Sr.
Simmons graduated from West Jeff High School and Coastal Truck Driving School. He worked for Barbe's Dairy, M.S. Carriers, finding a job he loved with Haynes Motor Lines until he became sick with stage 4 lung cancer.
In 1981 Simmons married Carla Brown they were married for 24 yrs before divorcing.
Simmons is survived by his 7 loving children Keyshona Frank, Lakisha Frank, Troy Lawson, Larry H. Simmons III , Arelle Simmons, Nestle Simmons his youngest Lauren Simmons. 12 Grandchildren; Justice, Lyric, Da'vonta, Ramon, Rashad, Ramel, Kayla, Patients, Purity, Kariyaun, Kensley, and Keyanni.
His 14 siblings; Javonne Moran Simmons, Trina Richardson, Jamie Blazio Jackson, Carolyn Mitchell, Petrica Trent, Tory Simmons, Wardell Simmons, Corey Trent, Adrian Locket, Edward Trent, Christopher and Chris Collor. A host of Nieces, Nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Simmons is proceeded in death by his Father Larry H. Simmons Sr., Step Mother Eva Simmons, Grandmother Augustin Brown, and Step father Kenneth Blazio.
Relatives and friends of the family, employees of Hayne's and Silocaf are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd. Marrero 70072 on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 11am. Visitation will be held from 9am until 11am.
