Johnnie Davis, 70, passed away on August 31, 2021.

He was born on November 22, 1950.

Johnnie was a loving and caring person that devoted his life to helping people. He worked at IP for 27 years, volunteered with the local ambulance service and was county coroner for over 20 years. Johnnie was a Calhoun County Deputy for 15 years and, after his retirement, helped out as a reserve deputy. But above all of this, he was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Uncle and Friend. It's hard to find words to describe such a self-less person who always placed everyone else's needs above his own. The world needs more Johnnie Davis's.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Alma Davis; two sons, John Davis (Deanna) of Arlington, TX and Mark Davis (Stephani) of Hot Springs, AR; four granddaughters: Carmen, Hannah, Stephanie, and Lyla; and many other friends and family.

The graveside services will be held at Moss Cemetery near Bearden with James Rawls officiating.

Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
