Madeline Moore, 96, of Westtown Township, formerly of Parkesburg, passed away on Sunday, August 29th, 2021 under the care of Sunrise Assisted Living of Westtown. She was the widow of the late J. Wilson Moore, who passed away in 2005 after they had shared 32 years of marriage.

Born in Philadelphia, Madeline was the daughter of the late Margaret (Harris) and Joseph Swyderski.

Madeline graduated from John Hopkins University. She worked for the US Veterans Administration in Elsmere, Delaware, and also the Coatesville VA Medical Center retiring in 1985 after 25 years of service. She was a longtime member of Our Lady of Consolation Church.

She is survived by her sister, Constance Smith of Honey Brook, one step daughter Pam Moore of Oakmont, PA and several nieces and nephews. Niece Kathryn Hagan and her husband John have provided constant care for Madeline in her last days. She was preceded in death by three siblings; Andrew Swyderski, Veronica Moncuso and Robert Swyderski.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Consolation Church, 603 West 2nd Ave., Parkesburg, PA 19365 followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery. Visitation at the church from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM.
