Ann loved to laugh and was known as the "giggle sister". She was a homemaker who loved to watch westerns and Heartland. The activities she loved most involved family and she especially loved all the children in the family.
Those left to cherish her memory include her siblings, Edwin Tester (Darlene), Pam Vestal (Billy), Patty Jones (Terry), Nancy Hinkle (Jeff), Joe Tester (April), Leslie Davenport (Steve) and Brian Tester (Rachel); son, Anthony Hicks; daughter, Anna Jackson (Dave); step sons, Scottie Hicks, and Keith Hicks and special friend, Scotty Blevins. Several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, one great grandchild and great nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends at Tetrick Funeral Home-Bluff City Chapel on Friday, September 3, 2021 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
A graveside service and interment to honor the life of Juanita Annette "Ann" Hicks will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at the new annex of Mountain Home National Cemetery. Attendees are asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:45 pm.
Active pallbearers will be Hunter Hicks, Steve Davenport, Joseph Tester, Joe Tester, Brian Tester, Billy Vestal and Dave Jackson.
Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to St. Jude Children's research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
The family would like to offer a special thanks to the staff at Bristol Regional Medical Center and Ashley Smith at Specialty Hospital.
