James Allen Gross, age 61, of Hudsonville, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 29, 2021. He was a 16-year veteran of the Navy and worked in IT for Steelcase for 21 years. He was preceded in death by his mother, Barb Fix; and his brother, Michael Gross. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 29 years, five children, six grandchildren, father-in-law and mother-in-law, brother-in-law, nephew,and many uncles, aunts, and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2021, at 10 a.m. at Rush Creek Bible Church, 2334 - 76th St. SW, Byron Center, with Pastor Cameron Townley officiating. The burial will take place at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday, September 8, from 5-8 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to VFW Post #2144 in Holland.
