Carol Ann Hubbard, 86, passed away Saturday, October 27, 2018 at her son's home in Chana, Illinois. Carol was born on February 17, 1932 to Ernest and Hazel (Reeder) Schumaker in South Grove Township, IL. She married William M. Hubbard, Jr. on December 10, 1950. Carol wore many hats throughout her life. She was a Navy wife and a farmer's wife. She worked at Sipe's Corner early on and then for Caron Spinning until it closed. After that she worked for the United States Post Office until her retirement. Carol was involved with 4-H and also volunteered on the Garfield Farm. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William Jr. in 2013; son, Boyd, in 1965; granddaughter, Arica Hubbard, in 1984; daughter-in-law, Judi Hubbard, in 1991 and brother, Roger Schumaker.

Carol is survived by her three children: William "Sonny" (Candy Trudell) of Rochelle and his children: Boyd (Jennifer) Hubbard of Byron, Jennifer (Tom) Shaw of Dixon, Christy (Al) Williams of Rockton, IL, Tommy (Leah) Childers and Lynn (Mike) Leininger both of Olive Branch, MS; Charles (Lorraine) of Chana and their children: Jacob (Wacey) Hubbard of Chana, Andrea (Serge) Ali of Freeport, IL and George Sorg of Seattle, WA; and Catherine Krabbe of Creston and her children: Bret (Rachel Ammann) Krabbe of Mechanicsville, MD, Scott (Courtney) Krabbe of Sheboygan, WI and Tadd Krabbe of Kirkland, IL; 20 great grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; brother, Richard (Patty) Schumaker of Orange, CA and sister, Wanda (Glen) Dunahoo of Loveland, CO and a special caregiver: Abbey Beck.

The visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M., Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Lindenwood Union Church, Galena St., Lindenwood. The funeral will follow at 11:00 A.M., Saturday with Chaplain Judy Williams officiating. Cremation care is provided by the Unger-Horner Funeral Home. Inurnment will be at a later date at the Lindenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made in Carol's memory to the Lindenwood Union Church.
