Debra Lee "Debbie" Floyd, 68, wife of Sammy Floyd, died Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at McLeod Regional Medical Center, Florence.

Mrs. Floyd was born on July 28, 1953 in Florence County, daughter of the late Harley Houston Lee, II and Helen Floyd Montgomery. She was a graduate of Lake City High School and was retired from Pee Dee Mental Health. Mrs. Floyd attended Lake City Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was a former community coordinator and leader of Scranton Dixie Youth. She also was a dance instructor and loved the arts. Mrs. Floyd was a guiding hand in the formative years of the Lake City Community Theatre. In recent years, she enjoyed fishing and attending her children and grandchildren's activities and was the author of two cookbooks.

Surviving are her husband, Sammy Floyd of Scranton; sons, Cameron E. (Michelle) Floyd of Chapin and Boen A. (Emilia) Floyd of Lexington; grandchildren, Mason Grey Floyd, Maddox Lea Floyd, Camdyn Emmorie Floyd, Efie Jestine Floyd, Lexie Julianna Floyd and Asa Jackson Floyd; brother, Harley H. (Jennifer) Lee, III of Lake City and extended family and friends.

Mrs. Floyd was preceded in death by her brother, Alan Rayburn Lee.

Due to COVID-19, the family will announce any memorial services at a later date.
