Phyllis Lavina Flowers, 82, of Amarillo died Monday, August 30, 2021. Service is 10:00 am Friday, September 3 at First Church of the Nazarene officiated by Pastor Jeff Marcoe. Burial is at the City of Erick Cemetery (12615 N. 1750 Rd.). Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage.
The family will receive guests 6-8 pm September 1st and 2nd at the funeral home.
Phyllis was born in Erick Ok. January 4, 1939, to Mary (Holland) and Clyde Brindle. She married the love of her life, Alvin August 17, 1961. They were married 38 years when he died in 1999. She enjoyed sewing and baking. She would bake cookies and deliver them to anyone and everyone. Phyllis had a big heart and was very kind. She just loved everyone. She was a member of the First Church of Nazarene since 1961. She ran the nursery for over 50 years.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Alvin Flowers, one sister, Helen Coffey, and two brothers; Bill and Richard Brindle.
She is survived by her son, Robert Flowers, and his wife Kelly, two grandsons; Corey and his wife Courtney, and Dustin and his wife Lisa Flowers, four great-grandchildren; Lucas, Johnathon, Cameron, and Carter, and one brother, Clyde Brindle.
