Marcus L. Collins entered into rest on Sunday, August 15, 2021. A graveside service will be held at Mount Olive Memorial Garden. He was a loving and outgoing person. Marcus was affectionately known as "Songbird" was born on May 21, 1986, to Joe and Maulean Collins, in Augusta, GA. He professed his belief in Christ and was baptized at an early age and became a member of the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. Clyde Hill, Sr. Marcus Graduated from Harlem High School Class of 2004. Marcus graduated from Helms College in 2019 with a degree in Culinary Arts.

Marcus was preceded in death by his sister Jermika L. Collins and his nephew DeMonta L. Collins. He leaves to cherish his memories with his devoted parents Joe and Maulean Collins, Sr; brother, Joe (Katrina) Collins, Jr.; his favorite niece, Jabria L. Collins; aunts and uncles Edith (Joe) Meyers, McKinley (Ruby) Baker, Robert (Samuella) Baker, Sylvia (Keith) Tolen, a devoted aunts and uncles, Remel Baker, Leon (Connie) Baker, Calvin (Yolanda) Baker, Diane Baker, Louise (Phillip) Frails, Susie Collins; one great uncle, John Davis and a host of other loving relatives.
