Willie O'Neal Young, 68, of Spiro, Oklahoma passed from this life August 25, 2021 in Greenwood, Indiana.
He was born November 17, 1952 in Jackson, Mississippi to Christey and Mary Pearce Young.
Willie enjoyed spending time with his family attending carnivals. When he wasn't working his asphalt business, he was cooking the fish he loved to catch. Willie was generous, almost to a fault; giving not only of material items, but time and love.
He is survived by his wife Cherry Marie O'Hara Young; two sons, Willie Don Young of Pine Bluff, Arkansas and Jackie Young of Memphis, Tennessee; two daughters Hope Pearce of Pine Bluff, Arkansas and Mary Young of Spiro, Oklahoma; five sisters, Charlotte Stanley from Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Chloe Harrison of Joplin, Missouri, Maggie Lovell of Joplin, Missouri, Christy Jeffrey of Fort Smith, Arkansas and Levy Stanley of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; his brother Jimmy Young of Houston, Texas; 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Jack Young.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm Friday, September 3, 2021 at A Lighthouse at the Crossroads in Spiro. Entombment will be later at Forest Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
