Shelby Jean Ashburn Allgood, 84, wife of Ronald G. Allgood, passed away August 30, 2021 at her home. Born September 16, 1936 in Pine Knot, KY, she was the daughter of the late Finus Burton Ashburn and Myrtle Brock Ashburn.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter April Jean Disponett and six siblings.
A retired employee of Raybestes in Indiana, Shelby enjoyed car races, camping, and spending time with her family, especially at Christmas.
Including Ron, her husband of 49 years, she is survived by children, Judy (Bruce) McGaughey, Betty (Logan) Brown, and Terry Floyd, all of Lawrenceburg, Debbie Gleason, Benny (Shirley) Allgood, Kenny (Angie) Allgood, and Penny Stancomb, all of Indiana; 15 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and a sister, Billie Martin of Tennessee.
Visitation will be Saturday, Sept. 4th from 11 am – 1 pm followed by the service at 1:00 pm Saturday at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Terry Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.
