Laura Sue Taylor, age 77, of Ambrose, Georgia passed away on Monday, August 30, 2021 at Coffee Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Taylor was born on August 10, 1943 in Coffee County, Georgia the daughter of the late Oather & Ruby Reed Jenks.

Mrs. Taylor retired from Fleetwood Draperies and was a member of First Congregational Church, Douglas, GA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald E. Taylor, Sr.

Survivors include:
Two daughters: Rhonda Sue Saeed (A.J.) of Douglas, GA and Sherry Lynn Troupe (Johnny Jr) of Douglas, GA.
One son, Ronald Edward Taylor, Jr. (Leighann) of Ambrose, GA.
10 grandchildren: Laila Johnson (Kevin), Reis Hill, Farah Saeed (Brad Moon), Laura Vaughn (Mark), Mollie Griffis (Gatlin), Gregory Burch, Jr. (Brittany), Meachan Burch, Rian Hill, Ansleigh Hill and, Addison Taylor.
5 great-grandchildren: Lyna Johnson, Colt Vaughn, Greg Burch, Liliana Moon and, Shelby Vaughn.

The family received friends Friday, September 3, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Douglas First Baptist Church with Rev. Matt Rutland and Dr. Donald Hattaway officiating. The Interment followed at Reedy Branch Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: James Ricketson, Derick Pridgen, Chuck Heiken, Stephen Pridgen, Alfred Penn, Reis Hill and Edward Penn.
Honorary pallbearers: Connie O'Neal, Pete & Sharon Bunyard, Leighanne McBridge, Lollipop Staff and John Coffee.

Attendees were asked to comply with the current guidelines and restrictions concerning containment of the Coronavirus, including masks and social distancing.

Sims Funeral Home, Douglas, GA was in charge of arrangements.
