Paula "Pawda" Cecelia (Albert) Ackerman, age 65, of Camp Hill, passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2021. Pawda was born on Friday, September 2, 1955, in Harrisburg to the late Paul Raymond Albert and Deborah Phoebe (Swank) Albert. In addition to her parents, Pawda is preceded in death by her brother, Dixon Osswald; and her sister, Emaline Husvar.

Pawda's survivors include her husband of 20 years, Michael "Mike A" Joseph Ackerman; her daughter, Doreen Brown of Wellsville; her grandson, Jayden Chavarria of Wellsville; and her brother, David Osswald.

Pawda was a member of many groups and organizations. She was a part of the American Legion Post 143 Auxiliary in New Cumberland and the Blues Society of Central Pennsylvania. As a motorcycle enthusiast, Pawda belonged to Women in the Wind, was a longtime member of A.B.A.T.E. (Alliance of Bikers Aimed Toward Education), and she rode with the American Legion Riders Post 143. Pawda absolutely loved riding her Harley-Davidson and attended countless motorcycle events. She loved music, traveling, and spending lots of time at camp. Pawda cared about others, no matter what was going on with her. She remained nothing but strong-willed until the end; the courage and preservation Pawda exhibited will be remembered by many.

All are welcome to join Pawda's family at her gathering of family and friends celebration on Saturday, September 11, 2021, from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. with a time of remembrance and storytelling at 5:00 p.m. at Buhrig's Gathering Place, 25 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, (717) 766-3421 (next to Buhrig Funeral Home & Crematory). Over 100 parking spaces are available; just look for the "Buhrig" parking signs in all of the parking lots. Cremation was private.

Interment in Rolling Green Cemetery in Camp Hill will be at a later date and convenience of the family. Cremation was private.
