Patrick (Pat) Michael Moran, 75, passed away on August 29, 2021 surrounded by family. He was born in Louisville, KY on August 10, 1946. His family moved to Park City, KY in 1959 to help manage the Park City Motel along with his grandparents. During his high school years, he was known to be not only athletic, but scholarly as well. He participated in baseball, basketball, and track. He was the President of the FSA, a member of the Letter Club, and Editor of the Annual. He graduated from Park City High School in 1965. In July of that same year, he went to San Antonio, Texas for his basic training and then attended the Air Force Academy Preparatory School in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Unfortunately, after suffering from a knee injury, he received a medical discharge. He married the love of his life on July 29, 1967. He joined his father and brother in the auto mechanic business in 1970. He is known throughout Glasgow and most of Barren and Hart Counties for his automotive intelligence, ability, and work ethic. He was a part owner in Moran's Ashland Gas and Service Station, which was located at the northeast corner of NL Rogers Wells Rd (31E) and W Main St (68/80). In 1992 they purchased Gus Kinslow's Building on Cleveland Avenue where Moran's Auto Tech has been ever since. He was a member of St. Helen and Our Lady of the Cave Catholic Church. He became a member of the Glasgow BNI shortly after it was chartered in 2010. He was also a Charter member of the Cave Country Lions Club.

He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Thomas and Patricia Moran; maternal grandparents, Dewey and Mildred Rook; and brothers, Shawn, Michael and Timothy Moran.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carolyn Moran; his children, Kristen (Richard) Ballew of Boaz, AL, Daniel Patrick Moran of Louisville, KY, Sheena (Justin) Moran Shevlin of Littleton, CO, and Shane Moran of Horse Cave, KY; grandchildren, Lillian Moran of Cave City, Connor, Penelope, Piper and Paxton Shevlin, all of Colorado, Celeste (Brian) Wooten and Nicole (Cody) Myers, both of Alabama; great grandchildren, Emma Claire Johnson, Ava and Aiden Wooten, Kalena, Garrett, Rylan and Dalton Myers, all of Alabama; sisters, Colleen (Dean) Ewing, Bridgett (Billy) Denson, and brother, Kevin (Kelly) Moran; brother-in-law, Larry (Linda) Peden; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The funeral service for Mr. Moran will be held 1:00 PM Friday, September 3rd at St. Helen Catholic Church with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Friday from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at the funeral home with a rosary service held at 7:00 PM Thursday night.
