Curtis Walter Scott, 67, of Chattanooga, passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, in a local hospital.
He was a 1972 graduate of Riverside High School and was a member of New Zion Baptist Church. He was formerly employed by NHC as a CNA.
Curtis was preceded in death by his father, Reverend Walter C. Scott; mother, Fannie Mae Crumsey.
Survivors include his significant other, Barbara Dave; sons, Edward Scott and Michael Scott; daughters, Alicia Scott and Shana Smith, all of Chattanooga; 16 grandchildren; brothers, Michael McGhee and Johnny Toney, both of Chattanooga; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
Curtis will lie in state on Friday, Sept. 3, at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Ronald Cook, Sr. as the eulogist.
Burial will be on Wednesday, Sept. 8, at 11 a.m. in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
