The family of Mr. Samuel Allen Henson, 66, are sad to announce that he passed away on August 30, 2021 at his home in Scott.

Mr. Henson was a truck driver for the United States Post Office. He was born on April 20, 1955 in Connell, Washington to parents Samuel Eugene and Evelyn Adams Henson. He moved to this area in 1970 from California. He graduated from Lake Arthur High School in 19 73 and after he served his country honorably in the United States Army. He was a member of the Lake Arthur United Methodist Church. Mr. Henson loved motorcycles, music, reading, watching westerns on TV and he absolutely adored his nieces and nephews.

Those left to cherish his memory are two beloved sisters, Jeanette Stewart of Lake Arthur and Peggy (David) Ramirez of Heber, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In accordance with Mr. Henson's wishes, cremation has been entrusted to Miguez Funeral Home. His cremains will be buried at a later date in the SWLA Veterans Cemetery in Jennings.
