Born 23 Feb 1665 in Braintree to Nicholas Rockwood (1628 - 1680) and Margaret Holbrook (1630 - 1670). He married Joanna Ellis (born 1677) on 7 Dec 1698 in Wrentham. They had 10 known children in Wrentham:

I. Margaret, b. 4 September, 1699 d. 1 MAR 1787 Paxton m Ebenezer MetCalf.

II. Nathaniel, b. 7 September, 1700, d 28 OCT 1776 Winchester, NH m Margaret Phipps

III. Benjamin, b. 8 March, 1702 d OCT 1774 Franklin m 1st 19 Dec 1727 to Mehetabel Thompson m 2nd 9 Jan 1745 to Ruth Mann.

IV. Abigail, b. 2 January, 1703-1704. d. 8 JUN 1714

V. Ebenezer, b. 2 November, 1705. in 1723 chose John Rocket of Medway to be his guardian [Suff Probate] probably died young.

VI. Hannah, b. 9 October, 1707. m Thomas Lawrenece

VII. Mary, b. 17 October, 1709 d. 26 DEC 1796 m Andrew Blake (possibly also ___ Alexander of Winchester NH)

VIII. Thomas, b. 25th February, 1711 m Abigail McCay

IX. Abigail. b 8 JUNE 1714 d 27 MAR 1788 m Josiah Blake who succeeded to the inheritance of the ancient Rockwood farm and Mansion in Wrentham

X. ELISHA, b. 11 June, 1716 d. 5 DEC 1788 Groton m Elizabeth Adams [placed under the guardianship of his mother [suff probate 13 Nov 1723]

NEHGS says he died in Wrentham in 1721 but I have no been able to confirm the burial location.
