HOUSTON - Byron Neal Wilson, Sr., 78, passed away Monday, August 30, 2021, at Diversicare of Eupora. He was born April 30, 1943, in Nashville, TN, to Alan Byron Wilson and Virginia Smith Wilson, and spent most of his childhood in Cave City, KY. He was a graduate of Western Kentucky University, where he studied environmental science. He was self-employed as a farm inspector environmentalist, until his health failed, and had worked for a time for Prestage Farms. He was a member of Arbor Grove Baptist Church. He never met a stranger and loved visiting and talking with others. The family fondly recalled his penchant for "starting" his many projects, most of which never saw completion.

Wilson, Jr. (Amy) of Paragould, Ark; his daughter, Stephanie Williams (Brian) of Jackson, TN; his step-son, Lee Baker of Monticello, FL; four grandchildren, Raven Wilson, Brady Baker, Brooke Baker, and Rayanna Williams; and his brothers, Alan Wilson (Debbie) of Shepherdsville, KY and Steve Wilson (Charlotte) of Nicholasville, KY.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Byron and Virginia Wilson.
The family will hold memorial service at a later date. Southern Funeral Chapel of Houston is honored to serve his family. Visit southernfuneralchapel.com to sign the guest registery.
