William D. "Bill" Orr, 91, of Maynard, Iowa died Monday night, August 30, 2021, at UnityPoint Health – Allen Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa.
Funeral Service: 10:00 A.M. Saturday, September 4, 2021, at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home in Maynard with Rev. Mike Jager officiating.
Visitation: 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Friday, September 3, 2021, and for one hour before the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
Interment: Dunham Grove Cemetery, Randalia, Iowa.

William Douglas Orr was born July 6, 1930, in rural Fayette, Iowa, the son of Francis Donald and Vivian Mildred (Kuhens) Orr. In 1948, he graduated from Fayette High School in Fayette. On October 5, 1950, he was united in marriage to Delores Ellen Bachman at Zion Lutheran Church in West Union, Iowa. Bill and Delores farmed in the Fayette area until they moved to Maynard. He enjoyed fishing, going out to eat and spending time with friends.
Bill is survived by his wife: Delores Orr of Maynard; 3 sons: John (Sharon) Orr of Fayette, William (Marge) Orr of Waterloo and Curt (Barb) Orr of Maynard; 4 grandchildren: Michael (Sara) Orr of Ames, Stephanie (Kris) Drennon of Parker, Colorado, Curtis James (Robyn) Orr of Maynard and Crystal Orr of Maynard; 6 great grandchildren; sister-in-law: Vivian Orr of Fayette; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter: Melissa Sue Orr; brother: James Orr; sister: Marjorie Conner; brother-in-law: Joe Conner; niece: Rosemary Buhr; and 2 nephews: Pat Conner and Michael Conner.
