David Anthony Barnett age 45, of Beloit, WI passed away on Saturday August 14, 2021 at Beloit Memorial Hospital. He was born on August 26, 1975 the son of David and Norva (Marshall) Barnett. Anthony graduated from Beloit Memorial High School in 1993. He continued his education at Madison Area Technical College (MATC) Barbering Apprentice Program from 1994-1998. Anthony was employed with Clippers & Curls for 28 years as a licensed barber. In 2006, he became owner and operator of his own barber shop, "Da Chop Shop". Anthony was a talented musician and singer. He used his musical gifts with several Gospel groups; Singing alongside his father with the Skylark Gospel Singers, playing the drums with The Gospel Bells, and singing and playing guitar with The New Royal Travelers. He was a member of the Fountain of Life Church where Elder Lawrence A. Hoskins is Pastor. Anthony was an avid Raider fan and enjoyed many sports. He volunteered as an Assistant Coach with the City Wide Softball League, coaching the Lil' Snappers. He enjoyed grilling out, spending time with family and friends, fishing, and deer hunting. Watching the food network and movies with his wife was one of his favorite pass times.

Leaving to cherish his memories: his lovely wife Annie who he called (babe), his mother Norva Barnett, who he affectionately called (Mom), One brother Craig (Lorna) Barnett-Tomlin of Jackson, TN, Two sisters Anjanette (Kelvin) Sherrod and Anderia D. Barnett of Beloit, WI. Three children, LaToya Clemons, Nicole Clemons and Antonio Douglas all of Beloit, WI, his beloved grandchildren: Ja'Mir and Jy'Aire Gordon, Amanj Hardnett, Mickelle and Malaya Douglas. Four sister-n-laws, Five brother-n-laws, Three Uncles, Four Aunts, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Special Godparents: Gloria (Keith) Hughes, Loyd (Lewis) and Patricia Majeed all of Beloit, WI. Special friends: Rev. Anthony Grier, Roby Johnson Jr, Bennie Gordon, Douglas Blum and many others but he loved them all. He was preceded in death by his father, Elder David Barnett, Aunts, Uncles and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday August 20, 2021 at Hansen-Gravitt Funeral Home, 424 Prospect St, from 8am-4pm. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday August 21, 2021 at Beloit Life Center, 2170 Murphy Woods Rd, Beloit WI with additional visitation beginning at 10:00am until time of service. Private Family Repast – Invitation Only. Burial was August 21 in Eastlawn Cemetery.
