Born on September 4, 1937, in Adair County, she was a daughter of the late Marion and Susie Keith Kelley.
Marie was a homemaker who loved to grow a big garden. She enjoyed freezing and canning all of the vegetables her garden produced. Marie was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.
Survivors include
three daughters:
Sharon (and Hobie) Richards, Wanda Hammond, and Doris George Lendon, all of Russell Springs;
eight grandchildren;
thirteen great-grandchildren;
four great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Ben George, who passed away on August 18, 2008; three brothers, Earle Kelley, Willie Ray Kelley, and Elroy Kelley; and a sister, Lucille Cape.
Graveside services will be held 10:00 AM, Thursday, September 2, 2021, at Rippetoe Cemetery, in Jamestown, with Bro. Richie Curtis officiating.
Funeral arrangements for Marie are entrusted to Bernard Funeral Home.
