Mr. Parks was the oldest surviving member of the Grand Lodge F & AM of Tennessee, having been a member for 70 years.
Mr. Parks was born on September 27, 1925 to John Riley Parks and Ethel Wilson Parks.
Precedeeding him in death was his wife of 40 years, Helen Howell Parks and his sisters, Marjorie Ellen Parks Roth and Mary Evelyn Parks Bennett.
He is survived by his son, Mike Parks (Kaye) of Columbia, Tennessee and daughter, Phyllis Parks Webb (Delbert) of Newbern, Tennessee. He was Pipa to his 3 wonderful grandchildren whom he loved dearly, Shane Parks (Cori) of Columbia, Tennessee. Misty Parks (John Milazo) of Thompsons Station, Tennessee and Lea Goodwin Rhodes (Mike) of Friendship, Tennessee. He was also blessed with 3 beloved great grandchildren, Kayla Parks of Columbia, Tennessee. Annie Rhodes and Ryan Rhodes of Friendship, Tennessee.
Due to concerns for the health and well being of others, friends and family are asked to gather at the graveside at Fairview Cemetary in Newbern, Tennessee. Visitation will be held thirty minutes prior to the service which will be Thursday, September 2, 2021 at 1:00 P.M., with visitation beginning at 12:30 P.M. Officiating the service will be Chaplin Brent Pearce.
