George Noel Morris was born in Baxter County July 9, 1880, and died at his home here Tuesday, June 5, after an illness of several months. He was married in 1902 to Miss Ethel Anglin. To them six children were born, one daughter having died young.
He is survived by his wife and the following children: Fred, of Mountain Grove, Mo.; Leo, who is in the service in Germany; Clifton, of Mountain Home; and two daughters, Misses Lucille and Noeleen, both of Mountain Home; two brothers, Harrison and Floyd; three sisters, Mrs. W. M. Trammel, Mountain Home, Mrs. Charles Anglin, and Mrs. Sidney Stafford; and four grandchildren.
He was converted and joined the Whiteville Baptist Church in 1904 and was a faithful member up to the time of his death.
Mr. Morris had been engaged in farming almost all his life, but retired a few years ago and came to town where he bought a home. He was a good citizen and neighbor and the world will be better for his life of service.
