Mrs. Ruth Gaulden Thomas, age 76, went home to her Heavenly Father on Sunday August 29, 2021, at her home.
A funeral service will be 10:00am Thursday at Northside Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 9:00am-10:00am Thursday at Northside Baptist Church.
Mrs. Thomas was born in Guilford County to the late James and Grace Ledbetter Gaulden. She was a faithful member of Northside Baptist Church, for over fifty years, where she ministered to children as a nursery worker and Sunday School teacher and served through the community breakfast ministry.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six sisters and three brothers.
Ruth is survived by her loving husband of fifty-seven years Johnny Thomas; children Kenneth Thomas (Cindy), Chris Thomas, and Karen Thomas; sister Betty Stone; brother Jay Gaulden. Also surviving are her four grandchildren Clayton, Erika, Ashlyn, and Jacob Thomas.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Northside Baptist Church c/o Community Breakfast Ministry 1100 E. Cornwallis Dr. Greensboro, NC 27405.
