Andrea Reed McDaniel, 73, of Flintstone, GA passed away Friday August 27, 2021 at her home. Mrs. McDaniel was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and North Georgia area. She was a member of the Chattanooga Valley Baptist Church, the SAFFO Seniors and Friends of Fort Oglethorpe group, and was past President of the Ladies Auxiliary of the National Guard.

She was a loving wife, mother, and friend. For Andrea, her family and friends always came first. She had a gentle soul that wanted to help anyone, anyway that she could. Her smile could light up a room and her laugh was infectious. She loved to have fun wherever she was, and was the life of the party. She was an excellent cook, loved to bake, enjoyed sewing, playing cards with her family on the weekends, and watching the Atlanta Braves.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Larry Bates Reed and Virginia Drake Reed.

Survivors include her loving husband of 55 years, Retired Command Sergeant Major, John C. McDaniel, Jr.; daughter, Angela (Lee) Garren; son, Sean (Toni) McDaniel; two grandchildren, Jay Bell and Whitley Smith; two brothers, Larry (Sandra) Reed and James (Vicki) Reed; two nieces, Jennifer Reed and Brittney Harris.

Condolences may be shared at www.lane-southcrestchapel.com.

A Celebration of Life for Mrs. McDaniel will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, Rossville, GA.
