John K Keller was a son of Adam and Sarah Keller He was born December 17, 1847, at Pendleton County Virginia. He departed this life Dec 5 1919, at his home at Greenville, Madison County, Florida. He leaves to mourn his loss a wife and two sons and three daughters.

They are Mrs Louie Smith of Emporia Kansas and Mrs Lillie Despain of Portland Oregon and Mrs Gertrude of Griffin Georgia. The sons are John and Charley of Greenville, Madison County, Florida, and twenty-one grand children and four brothers and three sisters.

The brothers are Phillip Keller of Waldo Kansas, Jake Keller of Cameron Missouri , Isaac Keller of Larmie Wyo, Ples Keller of near Seymour Iowa.

The sisters are Mis Belle Condra of Seymour Iowa, Mrs Emily Murphy of Numa Iowa, Mrs Mahala Fox of Brighton Iowa. John Keller was the first man to put a building in Seymour Iowa. He put up a store in Apr 1871. Since that time Seymour has got to be quite a business town. Centerville Iowa March 12 1920

J. M. Odell received a letter the ether day from John Keller who is now located at Fitzgera'd, Ga. All the old settlers here remember John Keller, who is a brother of A. H. Keller, and together they opened up the first store m Seymour. John went from here to Sullivan county. Mo., where he run a saw mill.

He went from there to Emporia, Kans., and from that place to hie,present location. He is associated with another man as , proprietor of the Colony Mills,' manufacturers of kiln dried flooring. Biding and ceiling. They own 18,000 acres of pine timber, and employ 150 men the year through. They turn out 40,000 feet of lumber every day, most of which shipped to Chicago.
