"Jasper Smith died in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Tom Williamson June the 17 and was buried in the Gause cemetery the following day. Mr. Smith was for years a resident of the Button Prairie community as the farmer-stockman. After the death of his wife and marriage of all his children, his health failed and he made his home in Gause. He leaves three sons, Bob, Henry and J. A. and four daughters, Mrs. Lonney Williamson, Mrs. Della Beck, Mrs. Lecy Marrs and Mrs. Gussie Cass and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was seventy-six years of age."
