Eugene L. Brewer Jr., 77, of Ovett, died Monday, November 26, 2007, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. at Jones & Son Funeral Home, Moselle, with the Rev. Johnny Bryant officiating. Burial will be in the Tiger Creek Cemetery.
Mr. Brewer was an aircraft repairman with the Federal civil service and a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Ellisville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, E. L. and Iris C. Brewer and his brother, Samuel Brewer.Survivors include his wife, Floria "Merle" Brewer of Ovett; sons, Willie Eugene "Gene" Brewer of Ovett and Marlon L. Brewer of Lumberton; daughter, Tammie A. Brewer James of Moselle; foster sons, John Gomez of Seminary, Arthur Contrerras of Mathis, Texas, and Dexter Bender of Petal; brothers, Bill Brewer, Douglas Brewer, Arnold Brewer, and Darrell Brewer, all of Mobile, Ala.; sisters, Bertha Johnson and Janie Weaver, both of Mobile; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5 until 9 p.m. this evening at Jones & Son Funeral Home, Moselle, which is in charge of arrangements.
