Harold was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was raised in Ranlo Church of God and worked for Pneumafil in Charlotte, NC as a painter. Harold loved to fish and tinker inside his building.
He is survived by his loving wife of sixty years, Macxie Stewart Gardner; son, Brian Keith Gardner and wife, Jeannie of Wilmington, NC, Kimberly Dawn Gardner of Lowell, Stephanie Gardner McCaslin of Gastonia; sisters, Jeanette Childers of Lowell, Brenda Gardner of Ranlo, Glenda Hill of Lowell and Carolyn Williams of Mooresville, NC; grandchildren, Tiffany Dawn Bell and husband, Josh of Hinesville, GA, Tori Gardner of Gastonia, Cameron Lee McCaslin and Gavin Ray McCaslin of Gastonia and Devin Clymer and husband, Jason of Greensboro, NC; great-grandchildren, Ashlin and Cooper Clymer of Greeensboro, NC.
The family will receive friends from 1 - 2:30 pm, Wednesday, September 1 at McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 pm at Gaston Memorial Park with Rev. Joe Heffner and Brother Roger Wentz officiating.
