WADSWORTH -- Sandra P. Myers, age 80, passed away on August 21, 2021. She was born in Eugene, Oregon on March 3, 1941 to the late Frank L. Norris Jr. and Elizabeth M. (Ralph) Norris. Sandra proudly retired from U.S. Army after serving her country for 20 years. She served as president of the VFW Women's Auxiliary and was a member of the Rotary Club. She was a radio host for the Veteran's Voice and a journalist for the Cadiz Record. In her spare time, Sandra enjoyed painting, reading and shopping. She is survived by her daughter, Lydia Maki; grandsons, Steven Powers, John Homonai and Daniel King; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Kathy Ziegenfelder (Mike) and Phyllis Carpenter; and 12 nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, August 31st at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4411 Windfall Rd., Medina, OH 44256. Family and friends will be received for visitation at the church one hour prior to the service, from 11 a.m. to 12 noon. Burial with military honors will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville.
