HOWLAND –Suzanne M. Clark, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully at her home at 2:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 23, 2021, following a seven-year struggle with progressive supranuclear palsy.

She was born Sept. 26, 1952, the third of four daughters to the late Frank and Mary Noga Sotak.

A lifetime Howland Township resident, Suzy was a 1970 graduate of Howland High School and attended Lewis Weinberger and Hill School of Cosmetology. She began her career at David's Designers of Hair in Warren and then, for 20 years, she operated her own salon, Hair Inspirations. She also was the hairdresser for Roberts-Clark Funeral Chapel for many years. At the urging of friends, she obtained her real estate license and after retiring as a hairdresser, she had a second career as a Realtor, before retiring to help care for her mother.

Sue was active in the community, volunteering her time for the Howland Athletic Club and Howland Little Tigers, when her sons were young. She also volunteered for Children's Rehabilitation Center, where she was the chair of the annual jellybean drive for several years. She helped for a number of years on community events in Howland, such as the Fourth of July parade and Christmas tree lighting and also was a member of Warren Junior Crafts; she volunteered every year at their annual craft show. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Parish.

She enjoyed crafts, flowers, gardening and traveling, especially to Siesta Key Beach for the winter. But most of all, Sue was proud of her sons and loved spending time with them and their families.

One June 19, 1976, she married the love of her life, Rick Clark, and they have enjoyed the past 45 years together. Other survivors include two sons, Kyle (Shari) of Greer, S.C., and Rick (Kristin) of San Antonio, Texas; and five grandchildren, Kason, Layton, McKinley, Caiden and Kellan. She also leaves three sisters, Mary Louise Yannucci of Savannah, Ga., Charlotte Rudolph of Liberty and Marsha Miller of Mecca.

A private Mass was celebrated at St. Robert Church in Cortland. Sue will be cremated and she will be interred at the Howland Township Cemetery.

The family suggests material contributions be made to Trumbull Mobile Meals, 323 E. Market St., Warren, OH 44481 or to Cure PSP, 1216 Broadway, second floor, New York, NY 10001 or [email protected].

Arrangements were handled by Lane Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel.
