He was born September 23, 1951, in Roanoke Rapids, NC to the late Eula Mae Harper Little and William Bryant Little. William was preceded in death by his brother, David "PeeWee" Little of Roanoke Rapids.
William graduated from Weldon High School in Roanoke Rapids. He would go on to pursue a career as a custom cabinet maker. He was a talented builder who constructed homes and enjoyed creating gifts for his grandchildren. He loved to cook and was known for his chicken & pastry and barbecue. He was a giving man who served as a caregiver for his parents, grandparents, and uncle. Most of all, he cherished the memories shared with his family.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Connie Upchurch Little; his sons, William "Harper" Little of Sampson County, NC and Brandon Heath Little and wife Angelique of Buies Creek, NC; his daughter, Abby Little Zue and husband Albert of Charlotte, NC; his grandchildren to whom he was affectionately referred to as "Papa," Lawrence Watson, Thaddeus Watson, Addisyn Little, Ashlynn Little, Wyatt Little, and Avery Zue; his sister-in-law, Rita Browder of Virginia; Laura Watson of Clayton, NC; and several nieces and nephews who lovingly referred to him as "Uncle Frog."
The family will receive friends from 6PM to 8PM on Friday August 27 at O'Quinn Peebles Phillips Funeral Home and other times at their residence. A funeral service will be held Saturday August 28 at 10AM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Lakeside Memorial Gardens in Angier.
