Sherry E. Freeman, 69, of Girard, OH, formerly of Chillicothe, died August 26, 2021, at the Park Vista Nursing Home, Youngstown, OH, following an extended illness.
She was born July 15, 1952, in Chillicothe to Charles H. and Rachel I. (Dailey) Freeman.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Eric (Skye) Freeman, of Girard, OH; her mother Rachel Freeman, Frankfort; her sister Judy (Mike) Comer; and brother Charles "Ike" (Mary) Freeman, all of Chillicothe; several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews; and special friends Christine Betts, Cindy James and Shona Wright. She was predeceased by her father Charles; and a grandson Isaac M. Freeman.
Sherry was a graduate of Chillicothe High School, Class of 1972. She had worked and volunteered for over 20 years in food service and custodial care at the hospital.
Her funeral service will be held at 2pm Tuesday at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1pm – 2pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Those in attendance are encouraged to "come as you are."
