Funeral service for Anthony Ward "Tony" Wells, age 55, of Shelbyville will be held 4:00 p.m. Monday, August 30, 2021, at Faith Baptist Church with Dr. Isaac McDuffie officiating. Burial will follow at Willow Mount Cemetery.
Visitation will be held prior to funeral service starting at 2p.m. Monday, at the church.
The family requests that masks be worn during services.
A native of Shelbyville Tony was born July 10, 1966, to the late Howard & Jean Douglas Wells.
Tony was a faithful and loving husband, father, and grandfather "Papa Pony". He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with family in his free time but his favorite things to do was spoil his "babies". He loved serving the Lord and being involved with his church.
He is survived by: loving wife Tammy Olive Wells of Shelbyville; son, Josh (Kaitlyn) Wells; step-daughters, Amanda (David) Dye, and Amy Jett; sister, Tammy Wells Gibbs; grandchildren, Natilee Ragan, Keagan Dye, Henslee Dye, and Maverick Wells; and in-laws, David & Marie Olive, Rod, Christy, and Jake Phillips, Greg, Stacey, Haylee, and Lucas Olive.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Doak-Howell Funeral Home to help assist the family with final expenses.
