Bobby Blaine Barr, Sr., age 75, of Bristol, TN went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 27, 2021 at his residence. He was born June 22, 1946 in Bristol, TN, a son of the late John H. and Mary Patrick Barr, and he was a lifelong resident of Bristol. He was an active member of Full Gospel Fellowship where he served on the board of directors. He was a loving father and husband both to his family and church family. An excellent carpenter, he retired after 34 years from Cortrim Hardwood Parts Company.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Collins Barr; children, Robert Collins, Timothy Holsonback; grandson, Chance Hopkins; brothers, Fred Barr and Bill Barr.

Those left to cherish his memories are special friend, Shirley Thomas Hess; children, Bobby Barr, Jr. and Angie Simpson, John Barr and wife Julie, Jim Hopkins and wife Brenda, David Hopkins, Janie Astin and husband Dr. David, Marie Hopkins, Donna Hopkins King; grandchildren, Jeremy Barr, C.J. Barr, Demetria Kemp, Joey Kemp, Keith Hopkins, Glenn Allen Walker, Joseph Wright, Mary Beth Collins, Jeremiah Collins, Daniel Collins, Lakesha Holsonback, Jessie Proffitt, Elizabeth Hopkins, Mark Hopkins, Dakota Ward, Dustin Ward; several great grandchildren; sister, Barbara Rouse and husband Shane; brothers, Junior Barr, Tom Barr and wife Linda, David Barr, Ronnie Barr and wife Renee; daughter-in-law, Nila Collins; sisters-in-law, Bonnie Barr, and May Barr; and special friend, Gary Trivette.

The funeral service for Mr. Barr will be held 8:00 pm, Monday, August 30, 2021 in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry "J.T." Taylor, Rev. Phil Kestner, and Rev. Jerry Eggers officiating. The burial will be 11:00 am Tuesday in Rooty Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:45 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
