Annette was a very talented pianist and president of the Music Club at Madison College. She loved to garden and always knew how to frame her home with a delightful conglomeration of plants, flowers, and trees. Most of her retirement years were spent traveling to numerous locations to conduct research of her family tree, compile the information she found, and subsequently, she published a detailed history of her Robert Roane family lineage.
Miriam belonged to numerous genealogical societies to include the Daughters of the American Revolution, where she spent a period of time as Regent of the Princess Anne County Chapter. She very much enjoyed the activities and comradery of these societies.
Annette was employed by the Virginia Beach Schools system for over thirty years. She taught high school English and French. After she received her masters degree, she became a high school librarian, and later, a high school guidance counselor. She had many friends and was beloved by her students.
Miriam was predeceased by her son, Paul Morgan, and her husbands William Morgan, Letcher Hill, and George Davis. She is survived by her daughters Pamela and Patricia(Patty), a granddaughter, and a great granddaughter.
A graveside service will be held for the family Saturday, September 4, at noon. Please express condolences below.
