Anthony "Pete" Wade Webb Sr. , 89 of Louisville, passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2021. He was born on June 2, 1932 in Louisville, Kentucky the son of Wade Hampton and Catherine Beckley.

He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War and the former owner of Webb's Food Market, which was in operation for over 50 years. Additionally, he was a former Louisville City police officer. Pete was a member of St. Albert the Great Catholic Church and a member of the ACES club as "The Sherriff." Furthermore, he was a member of the Iroquois Post VFW, The American Legion, and the Bowling Association at Ten Pin Lanes.

He is preceded in death by his wife Margaret Mary Webb.

Pete is survived by his children, Anthony Webb II (Bonnie), Timothy James Webb (Leslie) and Kelly Marie Messina. Grandchildren, Jenny England (Nick), Kristina Messina, Mark Messina, Megan Silverthorn (Jared), Matthew Webb (Emily), and Michael Webb. Pete is also survived by 5 great grandchildren with one on the way.

Friends are invited to attend a visitation from 3-8pm on Monday, August 30, 2021 .A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10am on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, 1395 Girard Ave, Louisville KY 40222 with Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
