He was born June 27, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of the late Archie Greene and Lucille (Fleming) Greene.
Bob was a 1958 Graduate of Paw Paw High School and attended Western Michigan University. He was regional chaplain for the Gideons International where he has served for more than 20 years. Bob had a strong faith in the Lord and was a licensed minister for the Assembly of God. He also led bible studies at local jails and prisons for many years. He retired after many years building and remodeling homes. Bob had many hobbies and interests that kept him busy, he enjoyed astronomy, photography, woodworking, fishing, going to Tigers games and long walks on the beach. He liked to work and operate HAM Radio. Most of all, Bob cherished time spent with his family.
On June 27, 1959, in Paw Paw, he married Paulette (Harris) Greene who survives.
He is also survived by his two sons, Steven (Connie) Greene and Jeffrey (Gnara) Greene; seven grandchildren, Austen, Tabitha (Jeffrey), Chelsea, Chip (Bailey), Jeremiah (Maya), Samuel, Hannah; six great grandchildren, brother, Billy Greene, sister, Shirley (Charles) Zollar; two sister in laws, Wynell Hatfield and Marci (Douglas) Addington, along with many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 8, 2021 beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the Adams Funeral home, 502 West Michigan Ave., Paw Paw, where a funeral service will commence at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Eric Jarvis officiating. Cremation will follow services. Memorial contributions may be directed to Gideons International or to a charity of choice.
