Funeral service for Carole Taylor Brown, age 79, of Bell Buckle will be held 12:00 p.m. on Monday, August 30, 2021, in the chapel of Doak-Howell Funeral Home with Pastor Jimmy Gray officiating. Burial will follow at Fosterville Cemetery.
Visitation will be held 6-8p.m. Sunday evening, August 29, 2021, and prior to funeral service starting 11:00a.m. on Monday, at the funeral home.
The family requests that masks be worn and practice social distancing during services.
Born October 15, 1941, in Bell Buckle, TN she was the daughter of the late Robert & Myrtle Ruth Rigney Taylor. She was preceded in death by: her husband of 52 years Doyle Brown; brothers, Bobby and Richard Taylor; sisters, Charlene Anderton and Patsy Stacey; nieces, Gayle Segroves and Lisa Nelson; and nephew, Don Anderton.
Carole was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and sister. She was a member of Fosterville Baptist Church.
Survivors include: children, Duane (Ginger) Brown, Tab (Rosie) Brown, and Tina Brown Lankford all of Bell Buckle; grandchildren, Brittney Brown, Taylor Brown, and Mason Lankford; great grandchildren, Ryleigh "Lulu" McBride, and Blakelyn Brown; sister, Mary Jane (Willie) Gibbs of Shelbyville; sister-in-law, Joyce (Rashel) Ensey of Unionville, several nieces, nephews, and extended family; also several step-grandchildren, and step great grandchildren.
