Karen Gardner, 61, of Union City passed away 10:18 a.m. Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.

Memorial visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 1, 2021.

Karen was born February 17, 1960, in Clinton, Kentucky, daughter of the late Owen "Red" and June Elizabeth (Adams) Gardner. Karen had been employed as a dispatcher with the Obion County Sheriff's Department and in admissions in emergency room at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.

She is survived by one son, Zach Green of Union City; her life partner, Neil Pate of Union City; one granddaughter, Willow Green of Union City; her step daughter, Shelly Pate of Knoxville; three sisters, Jenny Young (Joe) of Oakton, Kentucky, Linda McAlister Cline of Clinton, Kentucky and Laura Cranford (Ricky) of South Fulton; and two brothers, Steve Gardner (Jeanette) and John Gardner (Debbie) all of South Fulton.

She preceded by two brothers, Owen Gardner and Jerry Gardner; one nephew, Jeff Gardner; and one niece, Jessica Cranford.
