Steve passed away peacefully at EIRMC with cousins Cara, Travis and Maro, his friends Buddy and Joe, children, Deja and Skyler, their mother Delana, and his girlfriend Debbie Wada by his bedside. Shortly after Steve's birth, his mother passed away. Bob became a single parent raising his son with help from his grandparents Newel and Vera Belnap from Wapello and his aunts Joyce and Kay in Las Vegas, NV. Steve was a vibrant, energetic little boy, ready to take the world on. He was consistently surrounded by loving, encouraging and supportive grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Steve had a love for music. In his later teens, he formed a garage band for several years. He loved to play his drums and enjoyed vocalizing his talent as well. Steve was gifted with mechanics and carpentry taught to him by his father. Survivors included: children Nichole Lee, Aaron Nathaniel, both from San Diego, California, Axel Robert from Renton, Washington, Deja Alana from Kuna, Idaho, and Skyler Chance from Idaho Falls; grandchildren Taylor Cole, Mason James, Melody Grace, Madilynn Joy, Irelynn Rayne, Harlow Skye, Brecken Rayne and Kingston Asher as well as half brother Robert Darren, step-mother Sharon Day both from Kasilof, AK and step-brother Wayne Baker also from Alaska. Throughout Steve's life, he jumped over many obstacles and struggles, embracing them wholeheartedly. He will be truly missed, and only our connection, gratitude, and love for him, will keep his memories alive. Celebration of Life held Saturday, September 25th at the Snake River First Ward Pavilion (101 North 900 West). Arrangements under direction of Nalder Funeral Home.
