Gerald E. "Jerry" Thomas Jr., 48, of Laramie, died Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at his home. He was born May 22, 1973 in Casa Grande, AZ to Gerald and Shirley (Guinn) Thomas.
Jerry had various jobs over the years but what he was most proud of was raising his three sons and being a wonderful father to them. He was a stubborn man, but he was a friend to all and would have given anything to anyone he possibly could.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Shirley Thomas; his brother, Bryan Thomas; and his sister, Ronda Poole.
Jerry leaves behind his sons, Tyler Thomas, Anthony Thomas, and Dakota Thomas all of Laramie; his granddaughter, Greycee Thomas; his uncle, Archer; and his numerous beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Private family services will be held, cremation has taken place.

An Old Friend
Upon meeting death a smile appeared on my face. It was not that of jest but that of seeing an old friend. We laughed and spoke of my life and all the many things I did. The good, the bad, the reckless and the things I will miss. Death smiled then and spoke "You have lived a life that was completely your own. You have greeted death as you would have in life and by doing so you were able to leave this world with more laughter and love. My friend it is now time for those that did not love or embrace your friendship to feel as you did." Death embraced me and I knew where I would go. To the places of dreams far beyond the stars where we all hope to one day be.
